ARMS consortium External Advisory Board (EAB)

The External Advisory Board (EAB) is responsible for monitoring the quality of the ARMS project work. The EAB's role includes advising the consortium regarding scientific direction, performance, and results, participating in project-wide meetings, and providing feedback to the ARMS Steering Committee.

With a profound background as a physicist and electrochemist from the Technical University of Clausthal, Dr. Krebs brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board. Having engaged in R&D activities at VARTA, his expertise in printing batteries spans since 2005. Dr. Krebs is actively involved in the Organic and Printed Electronics Association (OE-A), and in 2022, he established PrintaBattery. His impressive background and vast network of potential collaborators make him a valuable addition to the EAB. The ARMS consortium is confident that Dr. Krebs' insights will significantly enhance the advisory role, guiding the scientific direction, performance evaluation, and results optimisation.

Dr. Jakob Heier

Dr. Jakob Heier

Dr. Jakob Heier is a distinguished scientist with a diploma in physics from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University (USA). With over two decades of experience, Dr. Heier currently leads a dynamic research group at the prestigious Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa). His expertise lies in wet coating and printing technologies at Empa's Coating Competence Center, where he focuses on developing graphene-based inks for cutting-edge applications in energy storage and printed functional devices.

Dr. Heier is leading an international research initiative on LiS batteries and national projects on Supercapacitors, positioning him at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements in materials science. His innovative work and leadership make him an esteemed advisor to the ARMS consortium, contributing to the consortium's mission of driving innovation and excellence in research and development.
